Betts-Longworth Historic District Walking Tour

The Betts House is proud to announce our 2018 Betts Longworth Historic District (BLHD) Walking Tours, offered each month from March through October on every fourth Saturday at 1 p.m.. This guided walking tour of the BLHD will explore the architecture and history of this unique neighborhood. The tour will occur regularly during walking tour season (March through October) taking place the fourth Saturday of each month at 1 pm. It is two hours long and $10 per person, which includes admission to the house. Tours go rain or shine and reservations are not needed, but there is a 15 person limit.

Tucked away in the southeast corner of the West End, the BLHD features streetscapes unlike any other in the city. Narrow Italianate homes are mixed with nineteenth century farmhouses and early twentieth century gems. The Betts Longworth Historic District, once farmland far removed from town, became the home of notable manufacturing and retailing families. The stories of their homes and business will be explored in this 90 minute tour lead by Betts House volunteers.

The tour was developed for The Betts House by Architreks/Cincinnati-Walks, Cincinnati’s premier architectural walking tour.
